Car desigh and racing in Thailand

In 2005, the first student-competition racing in Thailand was held by TSAE. There were many university teams participating with urban car concept. The students themselves develop and design the small car. The innovations, hybrid technology, dual fuel etc., were adopted to their car extremely to beat the rival teams. Finally the students learn to design and develop a good car; moreover, they learn doing the project really based on the rule that is the problem to teach they not only the theory but also the important experience. Finally the winner is Chula University. The runners were KMITL and Siam University.

In 2006, The concept of the competition is Alternative Fuel; E20 & EV. E20 is gasohol and EV is Electrical vehicle. There were more teams than last year. Most of the car competitive car were developed for 2 passenger. They were beautiful based on the concept of previous year,city car.
The winner is King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
